ATBTRAFFIC On-Air at KPST Argentem announces that Puget Sound Television (KPST) of Redmond, WA has gone live with the ATBTraffic sales, traffic, billing and reporting platform for its KPST and Azteca stations. It is integrated seamlessly with Argentem’s Argus on-air automation which operates the stations in a fully unattended mode. ATBTraffic has allowed KPST to deal with an ever increasing commercial volume with no additional staff. Rapid scheduling and management of all on-air material combined with real time, web-browser based reports provide KPST with the ability to deal with last minute changes and maximize their inventory. Online reports are instantly accessible and always up to date. Management, Sales and Traffic departments at KPST have full visibility of avails, revenue, program and spot rates and historical point-in-time comparisons. All reports are available on both PC and Mac platforms throughout the station. Dr Kenneth Casey, owner of Puget Sound Television, said “We needed a traffic system that could streamline our operation. We selected the ATBTraffic system as it provides all of the benefits of the big name systems, at a fraction of their price. The technology behind ATBTraffic allows the system to run on a very efficient hardware platform that can scale with our needs. ATBTraffic allows precise spot placement, log reconciliation and accurate invoicing, all required for national advertisers purchasing our airtime.” Jim Moneyhun, President of Argentem Corporation, said “We are very excited about the transformation that ATBTraffic has brought to the KPST operation. KPST is reaping the benefits of an integrated, real time traffic and automation environment. KPST is a showcase for the direction that both large and small broadcaster alike need to take in the economic climate we are in.”
