Loading a Playlist

  • To obtain a playlist, use New to create a new playlist, or use Open to select an existing playlist and load it.
  • After a playlist is loaded press the Connect button to gain control of the video servers.

Playlist Contents

  • Column Headers name the contents of the cells beneath them.
  • Position the cursor over any cell in the playlist, and a tool-tip will arise naming the column.
  • The RGB button in the Toolbar provides a control to change colors of playlist background and text.

Formatting Columns

  • To change the width of a column, place the cursor on the vertical line to the right of the column header, Left-click and hold the mouse button, then move the cursor horizontally.
  • To change the left-to-right position of a column, place the cursor in the column header of the column to be moved, left-click and hold the mouse button, then move the cursor horizontally.

Executing a Playlist

  • Select the first event line to be played by clicking a row number in the leftmost column.
  • If the selected row starts with a clock start time and clock start trigger, the server will be rolled just before the clock time.
  • If the selected row does not have a clock start time and clock start trigger, press the Roll button to begin executing the playlist.
  • The clock start trigger is the letter ‘C’ in the Start Trigger Cell.

 Inserting an Event

  • Place the cursor on a row number cell and left-click the mouse.
  • Press “Control-I” to insert an empty event line in the row above the selected row number.
  • The selected row and all beneath it will drop down one row.

Inserting New Data in a Cell

  • Position the cursor over a cell and left-click the mouse button.
  • The background color in the cell will turn white.
  • Keyed data will replace any prior contents of the cell, and be displayed from left to right.

Revising or Inserting Data in a Cell

  • Position the cursor over a cell and left-click the mouse button twice at a desired position in the cell.
  • The cell will take on the look of a sunken white background.
  • A blinking black vertical line will indicate the position at which keyed data will be inserted in any existing data

Moving an Event – Drag and Drop

  • Place the cursor on a row number cell and left-click the mouse button.
  • Release the mouse button.
  • Left-click and hold the mouse button, and move the cursor up or down.
  • Note the thin red horizontal line that follows the cursor movement.
  • The red line will appear between two event lines, indicating where the selected event will be moved when the mouse button is released.

Calculating Event Group Durations

  • Place the cursor on any cell in a row.
  • Left-click and hold the mouse button and move the cursor up or down.
  • While moving the cursor, note that cells passed by the cursor will hold a white background.
  • Above the cursor will be a tool-tip with two lines: “Total Duration:” and a time in hh:mm:ss:ff format.

Repeating Event Loop Creation

  • Insert a new event line immediately beneath the lowest event in the group to be repeated.
  • Key the word “REPEAT”  (without quote marks) in the Source column.
  • Key the number of events in the group to be repeated in the Program Name column.
  • Key the number of times to repeat the group in the House Name column.

Executing the Event Loop

  • The event loop may be started by being located immediately following the end of an event not in the loop.
  • The event loop may also be started by positioning the cursor on an event line Row Number and pressing the Roll button.
  • As the loop executes, the number of remaining loops will be shown in the Status column.
  • When the last event finishes playing when there are no remaining loops, the event below it in the list will be played.
  • If the event below the loop contains a clock start time and an enabling trigger, the loop will be terminated at that clock time.
